THE WHITE WHALE THE WHITE WAIL: Booking Now

THE WHITE WHALE THE WHITE WAIL, The Space We Make's immersive adaptation of Melville's Moby Dick, is an ongoing work that has been performed in different settings, at different lengths, for varying audiences. The most recent iteration of the piece (excerpted above) has been recast in the hollow optimism and haunting decay of post-WWII America. Our whalers, existing in worlds of their private passions, are linked towards a slow demise and ascension through Ishmael's live broadcast of W-ISH RADIO, wherein our faithful narrator dissects and examines the mysterious life of whales and other forces sought, feared, and unseen.

The Space We Make is actively seeking new spaces, both in New York City and beyond, in which to set it this evening-length, immersive work. Please contact directors Caitlin Scholl & Simon Thomas-Train at thespacewemakeproject@gmail.com for bookings.
